If you want to try something different and very tasty try, this Cuban specialty “Soup of Malanga” or “Malanga Soup”.
This is a picture of a malanga looks like an ugly potato.
1 peeled malanga
2 scoops of cream cheese
1/2 cup of milk
Shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg yolk (optional)
Salt/pepper to taste
Boil malanga until tender. Once tender put malanga in blender with cream cheese, milk and egg yolk. Blend until creamy. You could either add more milk or water if it’s not blending well, you want it to be creamy. Add salt n pepper to taste.
